Brief Introduction to the Physical and Mechanical Properties of PVC Calendered Film

The main physical and mechanical properties of PVC calendered film are as follows:
(1) Specific strength. The specific strength of film products is greater than that of other materials, so they have become the preferred material in architectural decoration, daily use, aerospace and other projects.
(2) Insulation. The conductivity of film products is smaller than that of metals or rocks, that is, the thermal conductivity, electrical conductivity and wave conductivity are smaller, so its thermal conductivity is small (1/500-1/600 of metal), electrical insulation, vibration reduction and sound absorption are good:
(3) Usability. The decorative usability of film products is good: First. Plastic products are colorful and rich, the surface is smooth and shiny, the product pattern is clear, the straight and curved lines are square and regular! The curved lines are soft and beautiful: Secondly, plastic products can be sawed, nailed, drilled, planed, welded, and glued, and the decoration installation and construction are quick and convenient. Thermoplastic plastics can also be bent and reshaped, and the quality of decoration construction is easy to guarantee. In addition, plastic products are resistant to the erosion of acids, alkalis, salts and water, have good chemical stability, and are beautiful and durable. Non-foaming products are easy to clean and paint.
(4) Thermal properties. Compared with other building decoration materials, plastic products have unique thermal deformation properties. When plastic is heated, its deformation ability increases and fluidity is generated; this phenomenon is called softening. The temperature at which the plastic softens to a certain degree under a certain load is represented by the heat resistance temperature. The heat resistance temperature of thermoplastics is 50-90C, and the heat resistance temperature of thermoplastics is 100-200C.
When the humidity of the plastic use environment decreases, its brittleness increases, and it is easy to break and damage when subjected to mechanical impact. The brittleness temperature represents the cold brittleness of the film.
In addition, the thermal expansion coefficient of the film is large, about 3 times that of metal materials, so corresponding attention should be paid when using it.
